Collaborating with social service and economic development agencies to address community needs in Northern Otsego County.
Partnering with Village and Town agencies to maintain and offer community recreation facilities.
Maintaining a collection of arts and local interest reference materials to support education and cultural awareness.
Through restoring The Old School and cultivating strong partnerships, we have:
Created accessible facilities including walkways, entrances, restrooms, and other areas designed to welcome everyone.
Created versatile programming spaces in which we sponsor community events related to education, art, music mentoring, fitness, and entertainment.
Provided space for community services, including Meals on Wheels, Daily Bread Food Pantry, and the Cherry Valley Post Office. In partnership with the Town and Village, the Cherry Valley Community Center was established in the former gymnasium, along with a Kid City playground at Alden Field.
Created affordable senior housing in partnership with Otsego Rural Housing Assistance (ORHA).
